The <A HREF="https://spaceappschallenge.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NASA International Space Apps Challenge</A> is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists that will take place in Berlin and in other cities around the world, where teams engage with NASA’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space. Space Apps 2018 included over 18,000 participants at more than 200 events in 75 countries.
This year’s event will take place on October 18-20, 2019. The Berlin event will see the attendance of 25-30 people that will work on teams (or individually) on solving NASA-provided <A HREF="https://2019.spaceappschallenge.org/challenges/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">challenges</A>.
Two local winning projects will be competing on the global level - The global winners will be invited to a rocket launch at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida!

FAQs
 Is the event free?
Yes! The event is totally free and the organizing team is working hard to cover additional expenses such as food and drinks for participants!
 
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
18 years or older. If you’re under 18, please get permission from a responsible adult. You must register to participate.
 
Can I join the hackathon as an individual?
Yes! You can join the hackathon as an individual or as a team. If you are looking for teammates, you will have the chance to chat with other participants right at the event opening on Friday evening!
 
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
That would be useful! NOTE: The official registration to the event will happen on Friday evening via the official NASA Space Apps event page.
