This October 4-5th, Bank of the West will be offering a unique challenge and creative opportunity to hackathon attendees.

Apply your skills in developing a solution for one of Arizona’s Fastest Growing Companies. Named by Forbes as one of America’s Best Employers, and by Javelin as one of the best Online Banking Leaders for outstanding customer experience, Bank of the West is committed to its customers and eager to continue its evolution to suit every need. To compete, students should be familiar with or eager to learn with one of the following fields:<ul><li>Front-End or Back-End Web Development</li><li>Computer Science </li><li>UI/UX Design</li><li>Business Analytics &amp; Modeling</li></ul>You must be an enrolled Arizona State University student to participate. Student teams will be given 24 hours of hack time to design and develop a bank of the future in an effort to help Bank of the West change banking for good. Student teams of 2-5 can either be assembled ahead of time or will be matched at the start of the event. Teams will be required to use business acumen and technical skills within design and coding to develop and propose a solution directly to executives from Bank of the West. By drawing on personal experience, creativity, and the need to push the envelope, participants will be able to expand the initial desired capabilities of a banking platform and create a bank they’d want to join.Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 ranking teams.
