Cryptography Development Initiative in Nigeria(CDIN)is an non-profit and a platform for bringing together stakeholders in Nigeria to work on a common interest of addressing gaps in cryptography related developments including crypto-currencies and crypto-ransomwares.Lack of Awareness and Stakeholders collaboration are the two major gaps we have identified for now. Identified stakeholders includes institutions in the following sectors: Education, Defense, Economy and Technology.Our Strategic Themes are: Platforms, R&D and Collaboration. National Campus Blockchain Hackathon is the most anticipated campus  event across Nigeria, with major universities Hacking the Blockchain.

The Campus Blockchain Hackathon is an initiative of the Blockchain Industry Association of Nigeria (BIAN) (formerly Nigeria Blockchain Alliance (NBA)), a sub-division of Cryptography Development Initiative in Nigeria (CDIN), in engaging the academic community on the importance of Blockchain Technology, its relevant use cases, and more specific, its adoption for enterprising solutions. The Campus Blockchain Hackathon was planned to engage the academia on everything and anything they need to know about the Blockchain, and Innovation.The project has been able to reach five (5) universities including, Covenant University, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kwara State University, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Federal University of Technology, Akure.Winners of these Universities will converge in Abuja, for a final competition to emerge as the winner. The winning University will be the Champion of Blockchain Hackathon for one year, amongst other benefits.The goal of this initiative is to stir up conversations in the academia that leads to indigenous Blockchain projects, Research publications, reports, and enabling Blockchain policies in Nigeria; and to further grow a community of young Blockchain Enthusiast, like Developers, Entrepreneurial Businesses/StartUp, and advocates, to further synergize leverages for a domestic adoption.Do register to attend the National Campus Blockchain Hackathon as seats are getting filled quickly.
