In our workshops, we will encourage you to code, build, design, play with the internet of things, and even build your own hardware.

GraphQL has become very popular these days. But what is it? Why is everyone so crazy about it?

What are the advantages of GraphQL compared to more traditional APIs like REST? At this workshop, we will introduce GraphQL as an option for serverless and reliable backends. We will have an introduction about GraphQL and then build a small sample project with Hasura's GraphQL API.Don't worry - no previous knowledge of GraphQL is needed! We will start from scratch.We are very happy to have Marion Schleifer as an expert for this workshop. Marion is a Developer Experience Engineer at Hasura. She also runs Women Techmakers Switzerland and the GraphQL meetup in Zurich. She loves bringing people together to talk about technology and to learn new things. She has an interesting path to tech and is an advocate for diversity in the industry. Be ready not only to learn but to be inspired!Gion Kunz from Google Developer Experts will help with coding during the workshop. Google Developer Experts is a global community of developers who share their passion and experience by speaking at conferences, publishing articles and videos or contributing to open source. Experts also support and mentor developers and startups around the world to help them build and launch great apps.
