Challenge: "The City of Baton Rouge has multiple open data sources that can inform how they address blighted properties, public safety issues, traffic challenges, and economic inequality. However, they currently have no way to synthesize the vast amount of data to inform their decision-making processes. Your team should solve this problem through an open-source technology solution that is informed by presentations from civic experts, which will take place prior to the start of the hackathon countdown.”Kick off your INNO experience with the ultimate exercise in collaboration, critical thinking, and technological innovation. You'll join a team - or bring a team - and find out if you've got what it takes to solve a problem for the city of Baton Rouge using the power of programming...in just 24 hours!Hosted by Amazon Web Services and Loyola University’s Center for Entrepreneurship, INNO’s 24 hour Hackathon will bring together teams from across the country to compete in creating technological solutions for some of Baton Rouge’s biggest pain points including blighted properties, public safety, economic inequality, traffic and crime.Register today to reserve a spot in INNO’s 24 hour Hackathon. The winning team will be awarded 5,000 Amazon Web Services credits, the second place team will receive 3,000 credits and the third place team will receive 1,000 credits. Each team can consist of no more than 5 participants.
