Pivigo is Europe's leading Data Science marketplace and training provider. Pivigo connect scientists and businesses together across the world to harness the value and opportunities in data, to revolutionise the way we work, live and stay healthy. Since 2013, Pivigo has delivered over 200 projects to over 120 companies, in order to facilitate and promote ‘real-life’ applications of data science. In particular via their S2DS programme – a bespoke data science training programme, which is the largest ofits kind in Europe. Our clients include the likes of KPMG, Marks & Spencer, British Gas, Barclays and Royal Mail.

<H2>How will the Crossrail line change London?</H2>
<P>In December 2019, London will unveil its newest Crossrail line cutting journey times for many commuters. Using public transportation, housing, and geographic datasets, participants are asked to explore the impact of this new line on London.</P>
<P>You are encouraged to think outside the box to come up with models and visualizations that answer questions about the effects of the Crossrail line.</P>
<P>For example;<BR>How will the Crossrail line affect London’s traffic problems?<BR>What is the potential time-savings, if any, of daily commuters? <BR>What effect, if any, will this have on housing prices?</P>
<H2>Datasets</H2>
<P>Pivigo will provide datasets from TFL, National Rail, and the City of London, hosted on an Azure platform</P>
<H2>Tools</H2>
<P>The datasets will be hosted in a Azure data lake, access and support to Azure hosted ML SDKs, Jupyter notebooks, and VMs will be provided. Participants are free to use their own resources.</P>
<H2>Who are we looking for?</H2>
<P>We invite anyone from beginner to advanced in the field of data analytics and data science to participate. Participants can be students, faculty, government workers, members of NGOs, or industry members. We welcome both teams and lone wolves. It is beneficial if you can code.</P>
<H2>Prizes</H2>
<P>1st place prize for the best visualisation, 1st place prize for the best predictive model and 1st place prize for the best insights</P>
