What is a Climathon?

Climathon is a global movement of people who  are actively taking climate action. Climathon Pasig  is a climate solutions hackathon  that started in 2019 where climate advocates take action ,come together and come up with innovative solutions based on the theme for the climathon this year.

What to expect?

For 15 hours straight all participants will form teams and try to come up with innovative ideas to solve the design challenge presented about climate challenges that Pasig City is facing. There will be workshops and coaches to help participants as well.

Is this a competition?

Accepted Answer

Yes, The winning team for this years design challenge on circular economy for MSMEs and Market Vendors will get a chance to implement a pilot of their idea in their own business in Pasig City.

How many members per team?

Accepted Answer

You can join as a team but keep in mind each member has to register as an individual. If you do not have one yet, there will be group activities where you can get to know other participants and see which group of individuals you would want to co-create solutions with. Maximum of 5 members.

What should I bring?

1. Pen/Notebook
2. Laptop/Tablet + Power Cord ( If you need it) 
3. Reusable Tumbler/Utensils ( We want to lessen single use plastic)
4. Jacket (To keep you warm if it gets cold)
5. Personal Medication ( If you need it)

What is the output required?

All teams will be given 3 mins to present  and 2 mins for Q/A during the Festival of Ideas in the evening. The winning team/s will be awarded after.

Who can join?

Accepted Answer

This year we are looking for Pasig based MSMEs, Market Vendors and aspiring entrepreneurs to join. But anyone who wants to collaborate in coming up with ideas for an inclusive circular economy are welcome.
