Collaboration Tree Hackathon - Los Angeles

Our organization's goal is to bridge the gap between dreamers and doers, for a more innovative future.  We focus on large scale innovation and how to achieve it.  Our first innitiative is creating theCollaboration Tree(cTree) framework, which will help groups of people collaborate online arround a specific goal or theme.  There will be many ways to use this framework, but we'll use it to drive innovation and large scale collaboration around big ideas.

Join us for our monthly hackathon to work on the open source <A HREF="http://www.innovativefuture.org/collaboration-tree/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Collaboration Tree</A> (cTree) <A HREF="https://github.com/F4IF/ctree-demo" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="GitHub" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">demo site</A>: a collaborative design/innovation web platform.  Work with other contributors in LA and online to develop this exciting new open source technology as a community.  Attendees are encouraged to join one or more of the teams working on a specific part of the project.  For newer programmers and designers, open source project teams are a great way to build up your resume.
Programmers: get experience with Google's Polymer platform and web components (no web experience needed) Designers: help shape the user experience for this uniquely complex project Everyone Else: learn more about the project and how you can get involved early

Before the event
We recommend joining our <A HREF="http://slack.ctree.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Slack group</A> and checking out <A HREF="http://dev.ctree.org" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the project</A> before the event, as well as signing up for <A HREF="https://github.com/join" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">GitHub</A> if you don't already have an account.  Programmers are also encouraged to set up the project in advance, and we can help resolve any issues during the event.
 If you're looking to jump in a bit early we're also at <A HREF="https://www.meetup.com/hackforla/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Hack for LA</A> most Tuesday nights.

Parking is available up the ramp off Beverly Blvd, just next to 2731 Beverly Blvd.  Take the stairs down from the center of the parking lot (push the buzzer next to the door) and follow the signs to the lobby.
