ITI Global Game Jam 2023 - Egypt

IGDA Egypt Chapter - Game Development Academy(ITI)

Information Technology Institute(ITI)

The Interactive Media and Game Development Academy at ITI is proud to host the Global Game Jam (GGJ) under the activities of the IGDA Egypt Chapter for the 11th time this year.

For Two Times, ITI’s site has been awarded a Guinness World Record as the largest site with the “most participants in a game jam (single location)” in (2016) and (2018).

What is Global Game Jam 2023?

The GGJ is the world's largest game jam event taking place around the world at physical locations. It is a hackathon focused on game development. It is a space where talented individuals get together to work in a fun and intense atmosphere of creativity and experimentation throughout a 48-hour period.

The Game Jam is more like an “idea space” rather than a competition. It stimulates collaboration and encourages people with all kinds of backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and creativity.

In 2016 & 2018 Global Game Jam, there were more than 1,000+ participants from all over Egypt throughout the weekend. Around 70+ games have been developed and uploaded.
