DoraHacks

Founded in 2014, DoraHacks has organized 100+ hackathons around the globe, witnessed the birth of 3000+ projects and connected 300000+ hackers, in cutting-edge technology industries including AI, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, Aerospace Engineering, and Rocket Science. We just did a blockchain hackathon in Boston, collaborating with MIT, Harvard, Columbia and 15 other schools, onboarding hackers from Fidelity Investment, Amazon, Coinweb, etc. As part of our Global Blockchain Hack Series, from Sept to Nov we are going to 8 different cities all over the world to hold blockchain hackathons, at Boston, Berlin, Bangalore, Oxford, Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, and San Francisco.
 
For this upcoming blockchain&finance hackathon at Oxford, we are collaborating with leading academic institute Oxford, UCL, KCL, Imperial, LSE, as well as influential global blockchain projects including Huobi(leading cryptocurrency exchange), Block72(resourceful blockchain Incubator in US and Asia ), TrueChain (decentralized blockchain community), ShineChain(blockchain &amp; insurance company),etc.
It is a FREE event with FREE food and drinks. We are also offering FREE workshop sessions with CTOs, blockchain architects and experienced developers before and during the hackathon, therefore NO blockchain background is needed, the hackathon is open to people who either want to know blockchain or are passionate about blockchain. On top of them, to reward people's hard work and enthusiasm, we also provide a prize pool of $10,000 for all hackers distributed based on the votes.

Name：Ray Xia
Title：Huobi UK Tech Lead
Bio：Ray completed his studies in Computer Science with Bachelor degree from the University of Nottingham and Master degree from University College London. Ray started his software engineer career in Royal Bank of Scotland working on bond and derivative trading system. Ray then joined Goldman Sachs to continue building his experience in trading system and big data analysis. Ray’s next role was to develop a backend system of Blockchain.info which is a pioneer company in blockchain applications. Ray has since been actively participating in the crypto industry and recently joined Huobi’s UK branch to lead the technology development and exchange launch. 
Topic: From Digital Wallet to Custodian Exchange: A Brief Introduction to Crypto Asset Storage
Abstract: This session will start with an introduction to digital wallet technology used in the industry from a technical perspective. Then it briefly explains custodian solution which is widely applied in crypto exchanges and traditional financial institution. Finally, it will discuss how crypto asset storage is shaping the modern trading world.
