Cryptography Development Initiative in Nigeria(CDIN)is an non-profit and a platform for bringing together stakeholders in Nigeria to work on a common interest of addressing gaps in cryptography related developments including crypto-currencies and crypto-ransomwares.Lack of Awareness and Stakeholders collaboration are the two major gaps we have identified for now. Identified stakeholders includes institutions in the following sectors: Education, Defense, Economy and Technology.Our Strategic Themes are: Platforms, R&D and Collaboration. Cryptography Development Initiative in Nigeria (CDIN)

The Campus Blockchain Hackathon is an initiative of the Nigerian Blockchain Alliance (NBA), a sub-division of Cryptography Development Initiative in Nigeria (CDIN), in engaging the academic community on the importance of Blockchain Technology, its relevant use cases, and more specific, its adoption for enterprising solutions.
Covenant University happens to host the premier edition of the Campus Blockchain Hackathon, from October 3rd – 5th, 2018, as the university is known for giant strides in innovative technology awarded by the Nigerian Federal Ministry of Science &Technology, and rated as the best academic institution for Software Developers in Nigeria by TechCabal.
Topics covered will not only give participants a good understanding of the blockchain and how it works but also discuss current and future applications and how they are being implemented to change the world.
Facilitators at this Hackathon are highly trained and experienced experts in relevant fields.
Audience for this challenge is not limit to Computer Science, and Entrepreneurship Departments, but open to everyone in the academia interested in Blockchain Technology, has some Business ideas, and can work in a team in running a Blockchain StartUp project. It will be quite exciting to see groups from the academic community winning the Hackathon, as it allow winners to be eligible for the National Campus Blockchain Hackathon later this year.
This project is hosted by Kayode Babarinde a fellow of CDIN and Toritseju Kaka, Co-founder of EOS University Project and EOS Nation Ambassador.
