<P><SPAN>Catholic Creatives is partnering with the Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneur at Catholic University to ask the question: What would it look like if parishes actually had awesome vocation posters? </SPAN><BR><BR><SPAN>A Catholic Creative Meet-Up is a regional evening event that brings creatives together from across industries to build community and innovate solutions to problems facing the church. It is one part party, two part revolution. </SPAN><BR></P>
<H2>Challenge:</H2>
<P><SPAN>We've all walked by cork boards in parishes and noticed vocation posters with dramatic phrases like, "are you called?" and silhouettes of young men in collars and matrix cassocks. We've heard the word "vocation” used almost exclusively to describe the priesthood or religious life. </SPAN><BR><BR><SPAN>We believe design impacts our culture, and there is something missing in how Catholic culture views and misunderstands the word “vocation”. </SPAN><BR><BR><SPAN>What would it look like if we had vocations posters that elevated the sanctity and importance of everyone’s unique, unrepeatable, personal vocation?</SPAN></P>

<H3>What is a hackathon? </H3>
<P><SPAN><SPAN> A hackathon is a community gathering in which strangers (typically from different industries) gather for to collaborate on a design challenge. There will be drinking, a short training on creative brainstorming processes, and postitnoteing activities that will result in lots of laughing. In the end, we will come out of it with some really great new friendships, and potentially some insight to offer the church for it's vocation poster problem.<BR></SPAN></SPAN></P>
<H3><SPAN><SPAN>What if I am not a creative professional?</SPAN></SPAN></H3>
<P><SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>You don't have to be a creative professional to be creative. Creativity is at the core of what it means to be human. If you come, you may be surprised by how much you are able to contribue and how much you will get out of it. </SPAN></SPAN></SPAN></P>
