Imagine Amazon Web Services being replaced with the spare computation in our cell phones and computers, while still providing the same secure transparency of blockchains. This system could host a censorship-proof version of fthe internet; offering truly peer-to-peer replacements for eBay, AirBnB, and Uber. Holochain is just one of many Web 3.0 technologies that seem to finally bring us to the possibity of digital cooperative platforms that can rival nation states and Facebook alike.

A Holochain hackathon in DC is likely coming in Q1 2019. However, if you are ready to get coding, there is one happening the same weekend as this event at Carnie Melon University.
