Before this role, she was a senior product manager and product marketing manager for AI systems, building bundle solutions and reference architectures for the self-driving car, telecom, and big data analytics industries. She also started six of her own startups in healthcare insurance, analysts rating, fashion, AI toys, competition software, and climate tech. Yao graduated from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley with a focus on economics and IT. She enjoys competitive ballroom dancing, reading, and traveling in her free time._﻿_______________________________________Charla Triplett has over 20 years of experience bridging the gap between academia, business, startups, non-profit and Venture Capital. Educated as a bioengineer, she has a breadth of experience in digital health, biosensors, medtech and the life sciences. Charla has been a sought out mentor, advisor and connector in the industry for decades. She is a Senior Venture Partner at Expert Dojo Healthcare Ventures, Managing Director at Suncoast Ventures, and founder and CEO of Spine by Design, a machine learning based surgical decision support software startup. Her prior roles include a broad range of business development and strategic partnership roles in Biomedical Engineering, interactive digital marketing and product development in medical devices. _﻿_________________________________________Carla Leibowitz Joined Flatiron in 2022 as Vice President of Corporate and Business Development at Flatiron Health, where she leads partnerships and M&amp;A across functions and business units. Prior, she was Chief Business Development Officer at Paige, a pioneer of AI in Pathology, where she led partnerships across verticals as well as marketing and product strategy. As Chief Business Development Officer at Paige, Carla’s role encompassed ecosystem development, evidence generation and market strategy. Over this role and previous roles, including Partnerships Lead of healthcare AI at NVIDIA and head of Corporate Development and Strategy at Arterys (now Tempus), Carla successfully crafted partnerships at the intersection of AI and healthcare, bringing together technologists, clinicians and product experts to build, study and launch AI-based products in the space. Carla has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and engineering degrees from both MIT and Stanford.
