unBlock: the hackathon

Wyre

Wyre is excited to announce unBlock, a hackathon focused on decentralized applications and cryptocurrency projects.
Co-hosted by MakerDAO, this hackathon will be an opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts while brainstorming to create useful and inspiring projects. Come with your best ideas around expanding BTC/ETH/DAI ecosystems, trading and decentralized exchanges, liquidity solutions, or identity verification. If you're interested in submitting a project as an individual or as a team, please sign-up. Bring your laptop and your ideas, we'll handle the rest! You'll compete for prizes including stablecoins, internship opportunities, and more. Space is limited - RSVP to save your spot.

Hackathon Rules
We want to create a positive and supportive community where attendees feel empowered to bring and iterate upon their best ideas. Collaboration and learning are encouraged!
Projects will be subject to disqualification for unethical or unsportsmanlike conduct.
 
Competition

Teams can be a max of 4 members; all members must be present at check-in.
</LI>
<LI>
Once teams are formed at check-in, there can be no changes to the teams.
</LI>
<LI>
Teams can be formed prior to the event, onsite at the event, or online via our Discord hackathon channel (links will be sent out after RSVP).
</LI>
<LI>
All entrants must attend both days.
</LI>
<LI>
Teams are not to include any members from judging panel, sponsor representatives, organizers or volunteers.
</LI>
<LI>
Teams are welcome to build upon ideas they had prior to the event, as well as build upon existing ideas within the market as long as code is not re-used.
</LI>
<LI>
Teams are encouraged to use Wyre or MakerDAO API (linked below) to incorporate into their projects or propose new features. Teams can use libraries, frameworks, or open-source code in their projects. Working on a project before the event and open-sourcing it for the sole purpose of using the code during the event is not allowed.

All work is to stop at 2pm on Sunday August 19th.
