For many businesses, its adoption is at the same time inevitable and non-negotiable to remain competitive in the near future. AI achievers say that what’s really killer about AI is assisted decision-making (ADM): a novel approach that goes beyond the traditional data-driven (dashboard-like) approach, unlocking hyper-personalized, real-time, and forward-looking recommendations. During this talk, Tommaso will touch on the benefits and what’s under the hood (and what are the limits) of AI in investing, as well as ADM, bringing case studies of how investment professionals use it to enhance their decisions.S﻿PEAKER BIOTommaso Migliore is the CEO and founder of MDOTM, the European leader in AI-driven investment strategies, acting as an advisor to institutional investors. MDOTM was the only European fintech company selected by Google for Entrepreneurs to take part in its accelerator program in Silicon Valley. Tommaso obtained a master’s degree in Finance from UCSC Milan and a Global Management certificate from Stanford University. He played ice hockey at a professional level for 10 years, representing Hockey Club Milano and the Italian National Team as Captain.A﻿BOUT THE SERIESIFT's Conversations with Industry series was launched in 2019 to bring real-world examples of digital finance innovation and creativity to a classroom setting. Held annually throughout UCL's Spring Term, the series demonstrates how industrial ecosystems in London and beyond are approaching the topics of finance and technology. These sessions are hosted by IFT's Industrial Director Paola Bergamaschi-Broyd. Conversations are open to the general public to attend, particularly to those who have a background or an interest in finance and technology. All conversations are followed by an opportunity for audience Q&A and an informal drinks and networking reception at the venue.
