Women in Block is a professional association of women and men dedicated to increasing opportunities of executive and thought leadership for women within the blockchain industry. 
The association will hold a breakfast meetup on October 4 at 9:00 a.m. It will have a social as well as an educational aspect - the women in the industry will share their knowledge and discuss opportunities in this sector, as well as learn about interesting projects.
The purpose of the meetup and the association is to share the latest knowledge and opportunities with women and their allies in the blockchain industry to shape the direction of this emerging technology and market. Our focus is on females and femme-identified individuals traditionally underrepresented in most emerging industries, which also happen to be ripe with opportunities for career, entrepreneurial and personal advancement. We're working on creating opportunities for women in this industry precisely due to its emerging nature: if we are able to create a prominent leadership position for women in this industry, it will be able to attract quality female talent in the future. Our vision is to help make blockchain industry one of the top playing fields for women to succeed, take leadership roles and build a legacy for others.
