<h3>EIT RawMaterials organizes the Final Competition of the Regional Innovation Competition for Startups in the Raw Materials Sector. Finals are open to all innovation ecosystem players dealing with mineral raw materials and green technology in general.</h3><h2>About EIT RawMaterials</h2>_﻿___________________________________________________EIT RawMaterials is an innovation community within the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), an independent EU body, committed to supporting Europe’s transition towards a circular, green, and digital economy whilst strengthening its global competitiveness and securing employment in the raw materials value chain. It is the objective of EIT RawMaterials to secure a sustainable raw materials supply by driving innovation, education, and entrepreneurship across European industrial ecosystems.<h2>Regional Innovation Competition 2022</h2>_﻿________________________________________________________________________________Through the Regional Innovation Competition 2022, EIT RawMaterials aims at supporting startups and SMEs from Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) countries to provide innovative solutions for the reinforcement of the raw materials value chain. To do so, a two-month pre-acceleration program was offered to participants with the best proposed solutions.At the event, three distinguished guests will answer questions and share their insight on the developments and opportunities that one can find in the raw materials sector.A live pitching event of startups will follow and the Jury will evaluate the pitches put forward by the startups. At the end of the event, the three winners of the competition will be announced.<h2>Challenges innovation areas</h2>_﻿___________________________________________________________1.	Circular Societies (e.g., new circular business models such as reuse, repair, remanufacturing, sharing economy etc.).2.	Sustainable Materials (e.g., materials for electrification such as batteries, fuel cells, magnets; materials for lightweight designs such as steels, non-ferrous alloys, composites, multimaterials etc.).3.
