The Quantly Group is a Harvard Start-up operated by Harvard alumni and graduate students, devoted to making quantitative analysis more accessible for all. The Quantly Group has been involved with SpaceApps, a NASA incubator innovation program.

Do you love space?  Would you like to address practical issues that arise from space exploration?
Spend a day at Harvard, hacking solutions to biomedical, social, policy, and data-driven challenges of people pioneering in space. 
* Also, we do not provide overnight accommodations, participants can continue work until late on campus or from other locations.

Dr. Sheyna Gifford (MD, MA, MSc) is a physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Gifford’s previous incarnations include a stint as the scientist-in-residence at the St. Louis Science Center, where she helped design exhibits and outreach activities; a tour as the health and safety officer and crew journalist on NASA’s 1-year mission to simulate Mars; a science journalist for NASA; a career as a neuroscientist at Brown University, Harvard University, and Massachusetts General Hospital; a satellite engineering project called R-HESSI at Space Science Laboratories; and an astrophysics researcher for the DEEP2 sky survey at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Gifford received a full scholarship to the University of Southern California to study science communication. She also holds advanced degrees in Medicine and Biotechnology, as well as undergraduate degrees in English and Neuroscience. She has written more than 100 articles in the fields of biology, engineering, and space science, and has contributed to a textbook in public health. She has been a guest lecturer at dozens of major universities and conferences. She is a captain in, health officer for, and proud member of the Missouri Civil Air Patrol air force auxiliary.

Diane Williams is a Computer Scientist who is an Augmented Reality Edtech Entrepreneur in medical education. She has been a judge for HackMIT, HackHarvard, MakeBU, VR/AR@MIT, and an organizer of "Reality Virtually Hack" hackathon held at the MIT Media Lab. As a STEM education advocate, she is a member of the MIT Alumni Club K-12 STEM, and a volunteer for the Cambridge Science Festival for twelve years. She is an alumna of MIT and Harvard.

Blair Dewit, CEO and Founder, Lunar Station Corp., Board of Directors, Crescent Innovations
MIT Sloan School of Management alumni, MBA, Blair Dewit is part of a growing group of ‘Astropreneurs’ who are experienced entrepreneurs creating new opportunities for commercial space-based operations.
Lunar Station Corporation (LSC), a MIT start-up founded in 2016, provides cutting-edge Moon Navigational Services to organizations interested in exploring scientific and commercial opportunities on the Moon. 
The company leverages its MoonHacker Intelligence Platform and its MoonWatcher Network (to be deployed in 2020) to help its clients survey, navigate and prospect the lunar surface.

Bruce Hecht is with Analog Devices Global Operations &amp; Technology where he leads the development of New Products and New Technologies in hardware, software, and systems engineering. Bruce has over 25 years’ experience in creating and launching new products for a wide range of customers in automotive, industrial, communications, aerospace, and biomedical/healthcare applications. Bruce’s focus is on the intersection of design, learning, and leadership. An active IEEE Senior Member and volunteer leader, Bruce’s roles have included Boston Section Chair, BCTM General Chair, and co-launching of the IEEE/MIT Undergraduate Research Technology Conference (URTC), the IEEE Future Leaders Forum, and the EMBS Personal Heath Design Challenge. From Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Bruce studied at the University of Waterloo, and recently achieved an Executive Certificate @ MIT Sloan in Management &amp; Leadership in the Greater Boston Executive Program (GBEP) and as an MIT Advanced Study Program Fellow. Bruce is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ), and inventor of 5 U.S. Patents. In 2011, Bruce co-founded Ideas in Action, producing TEDxBeaconStreet and engaging people &amp; ideas at diverse settings across research labs, factories, and design centres. He shares curiosity-driven design with his family and 3 children in Brookline, Massachusetts and at opportunities to learn around the globe.
