It&#x27;s true that some participants aim to win, but the vast majority are there simply to learn and have a good time. Whatever your motivation for attending a hackathon, remember to keep the hacker spirit alive by working with other teams, mentoring newcomers, and enjoying yourself.														The Rules of the Competition														1. Teams may have a maximum of 5 hackers.														2. Hackers who have been accepted to compete on a team must not be event staff, volunteers, mentors, judges, sponsors, or anyone else with special access to the competition.														3. Participants, including organizers, volunteers, and sponsors, are available to offer teams guidance and assistance.														4.The hackathon is the only place where work can be done on a project.														5. Groups are allowed to implement a strategy they developed in advance of the competition.														6. Teams have the option of focusing on already completed ideas. There is no requirement for &quot;innovation&quot; in hacks. Anyone is welcome to contribute to a shared idea, and their work will be evaluated based on how well it is &quot;hacked.&quot; (It&#x27;s unusual to come across something wholly novel these days, and teams often aren&#x27;t aware if they&#x27;re recycling a concept.)														7. Groups are free to include third-party resources, such as code repositories, into their work. It is against the spirit of the guidelines to work on a project ahead of time and open-source it with the sole intention of using the code during the event.														8. It is acceptable to include additional functionality into ongoing projects. Winners will be determined solely based on the value of any new features or functionalities introduced during the hackathon.														9. When the clock runs out, teams must cease their hacking activities. After the allotted time has passed, however, teams are free to debug and make minor adjustments to their applications. e.g. It&#x27;s acceptable to fix a bug that prevents you from demonstrating your hack if doing so involves adding only a few lines of code. You are not permitted to make any major alterations or introduce any new functionality.														10. Teams can be disqualified from the competition at the organizers&#x27; discretion. Reasons might include but are not limited to breaking the Competition Rules, breaking the Code of Conduct, or other unsporting behavior.														Submission Requirements														When the hackathon is over, the teams will upload their finished products to Github for evaluation.														There are three parts that must be included in a project submission in order for it to be judged:																												1. a 5-minute demo video;														a link to the project&#x27;s code repository; and														a slide presentation write-up.														2. Your contribution will be judged based on these criteria, and the judgment process is asynchronous.														3. Even if your hack doesn&#x27;t work or you can&#x27;t complete it, you are still expected to show off your work in the 5-minute demo video. It&#x27;s normal to not complete a hack, so don&#x27;t beat yourself up about it. Demoing is not just about winning; it&#x27;s also an opportunity to teach and show off your skills. Even if you don&#x27;t have a working demo to show, you can always give a talk on your experiences and what you learned. Hearing about the experiences and insights of other guests is both fascinating and motivating.														Teams can choose to participate in as many relevant sponsor categories as they like.														Judging Criteria														These four factors will be used to evaluate each team. The criteria will be given equal weight by the judges. Project submittals should include detailed explanations of how the participant met each condition.																											1. Technology: How sophisticated was the hack itself? How challenging was the technical issue that the team had to solve? Was there a special trick employed, or were there simply many parts involved? Did you find yourself saying &quot;Wow&quot; at the technologies used?														2. How much consideration did the team give to the design of the user&#x27;s journey? How user-friendly is the interface, generally? How stunning the site&#x27;s CSS or graphics are is one possible answer. The quality of the interface with its users may be more important than the quality of the code itself.														3. Finally, let me know if the hack works. Was every goal completed by the group?														4. Do you think the squad pushed themselves? Have they made any attempts to further their knowledge? Which projects have they previously worked on, and what were they like? It&#x27;s important to recognize and encourage creative risk-taking, such as when a team that typically works on virtual reality projects decides to try their hand at a mobile app instead.														As a result, you should not stress over creating the next Facebook. You can do that whenever you like outside of the hackathon. Relax and concentrate on your education, recreation, and socializing. Although the connections you make and the knowledge you gain during a hackathon could prove invaluable later on, you need not create the next Facebook or Twitter to emerge victorious.														Remember!														While the hackathon will feature a competition, that is not its sole focus. (오늘날 완전히 새로운 것은 흔하지 않고, 팀 또한 컨셉을 재활용하는 것인지 모르는 경우가 있습니다.)							참가 팀들은 자신들의 작업에 코드 저장소와 같은 제3자 리소스 사용이 가능합니다. 본 대회 기간동안 사전에 진행된 프로젝트에서 코드를 사용하겠다는 취지만으로 오픈 소스를 사용하는 것은 대회 취지에 어긋납니다.							7. 진행 중인 프로젝트에 추가 기능을 포함하는 것도 허용됩니다. 대회 우승자는 본 대회 기간동안 소개된 새로운 특징 또는 기능의 가치에 한해서 결정될 것입니다.							8. 시간이 종료되면, 참가 팀들은 해킹 활동을 중단해야 합니다. 하지만, 시간이 지난 후에도 참가 팀들은 디버깅 또는 작은 수정을 할 수 있습니다. 예) 짧은 코드를 추가하는 경우에 한해 해킹 결과 표시를 방해하는 버그를 고치는 것이 가능합니다. 하지만, 큰 변화를 주거나 새로운 기능을 추가하는 것은 불가합니다.							참가 팀들은 운영팀의 재량에 따라 실격처리 될 수 있습니다. 실격사유는 본 대회 규칙 위반, 행동규칙 위반, 또는 불법 행위에 그치지 않을 수 있습니다.							필수 제출요건							본 대회가 종료되면, 참가 팀들은 평가를 위해 최종 결과물을 Github에 업로드 해야 합니다.							평가를 위해 필수적으로 포함되어야 하는 부분은 총 세 가지입니다:							1. 5분짜리 데모 비디오;							프로젝트의 코드 저장소 링크;							슬라이드 발표 자료.							2. 제출된 결과물은 아래 항목에 따라 평가되며, 평가 과정은 실시간으로 진행되지 않습니다.							3. 해킹 결과물이 작동하지 않거나 완성하지 못하여도, 5분 데모 비디오를 제출하여야 합니다. 해킹을 완료하지 못 하는 건 흔한 일이니 자책하지 마세요. 데모 비디오는 단순히 평가만을 위한 것이 아니라, 참가자의 스킬을 보여주고 교육할 기회를 주는 것입니다. 작동하는 데모가 없더라도, 참가자의 경험과 배운 점을 얘기할 수 있습니다. 다른 참가자들의 경험과 견해를 듣는 것은 아주 멋지고 값진 일이니까요.							참가 팀들은 원하는 만큼 관련된 스폰서 카테고리에 참가를 선택할 수 있습니다.							평가 기준							각 팀은 아래 네 가지 항목에 따라 평가됩니다. 본 평가 기준은 심사위원에 의해 공정하게 평가됩니다. 참가 팀들은 각 항목 요건에 얼마나 부합하는지 자세한 설명과 함께 결과물을 제출해야 합니다.														1. 기술력(Technology): 해킹이 얼마나 잘 다듬어졌는가? 기술적 문제를 해결하는데 얼마나 어려웠는가? 특별한 기술이 적용되었는가? 사용된 기술에 스스로 &quot;놀라움&quot;을 금치 못하였는가?							2. 사용자 여정을 디자인하기 위해 얼마나 고민하였는가? 전반적인 인터페이스가 사용자 친화적인가? 사이트의 CSS 또는 그래픽이 아름다운가? 유저 인터페이스의 퀄리티가 코드 퀄리티보다 중요한가?							3. 해킹이 동작하는가. 모든 목표를 달성하였는가?							4. 팀원 간 협력적이었는가? 보유하고 있던 지식 수준 이상의 성과를 내기 위해 노력하였는가? 과거 어떤 프로젝트를 하였으며, 어땠는가? 일반적으로 가상 현실 프로젝트를 진행 중인 팀이 모바일 앱을 사용하기로 결정한 경우 리스크를 인식하고 창의적으로 감수하는 것은 중요합니다.														결론적으로, 차세대 Facebook을 만들기 위해 고민할 필요가 없습니다. 그러한 일은 해커톤 밖에서 언제든지 할 수 있습니다. 안심하고 배움, 창조, 그리고 소셜에 집중하세요. 해커톤 기간동안 알게 된 사람들과 얻은 지식이 중요해보이지 않더라도, 꿈을 이루기 위해 Facebook이나 트위터를 개발할 필요가 없습니다.							기억하세요!							본 대회는 경쟁만을 표방하지 않습니다. 당신의 안목을 넓히고, 아는 것을 공유하고, 새로운 사람들을 만나며 더 많은 것을 얻어가세요.
