TEDxUTAustin is a student-led platform, founded on campus in 2017, for spreading new ideas and connecting a community within Austin eager to grow their impact on the world. As a world-class research university in one of the leading entrepreneurial cities, TEDxUTAustin draws upon the unique students, professors, and community members of Austin to host diverse, rich, and enlightening experiences.

Through these experiences, we seek to inspire our attendees to ask “how?” and “why?” in order to create meaningful, long-lasting change in their communities.</p><p>_______________________________________________</p><h1>TICKETS</h1><p>Tickets for the full-day conference experience are $65 for community members and $35 for UT Austin students. Will began making music at the dawn of the Covid-19 pandemic during his senior year of high school. Allow us to show you our take...</p><p>_______________________________________________</p><h1>SHOWCASE</h1><h3>Texas Immersive:</h3><p>Texas Immersive combines audience, storytelling and emerging technology by having students work in teams to turn real-world problems into authentic, memorable, relevant user experiences.</p><h3>Texas Rocket Engineering Lab (TREL):</h3><p>TREL is an interdisciplinary research lab incubating innovators and rocketeers. Our mission is to demystify applied rocket science in an environment focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion, knowledge sharing, and community engagement to teach the interdisciplinary collaboration required by aerospace organizations.</p><h3>Longhorn Racing (LHR):</h3><p>LHR is a cooperative student organization composed of three Collegiate Design Series Teams including combustion, electric and solar that provide its members with the opportunity to explore different engineering fields and grow their tangible skills through a collaborative and innovative environment.</p><h3>Paradigm Robotics:</h3><p>Paradigm Robotics is developing advanced, reliable, and accessible robotics to mitigate risks and solve problems for firefighters and civil workers in dangerous environments.</p><h3>Texas Visual Arts Collective (TVAC):</h3><p>Texas Visual Arts Collective (TVAC) is a student organization focusing on the intersection of visual art and social justice. The organization provides a space for students to create all types of visual artwork, with an emphasis on traditional forms, while engaging in meaningful discussions with peers and local activists regarding social change.</p><p>_______________________________________________</p><h1>2023 THEME: HOW &amp; WHY</h1><p>We often view goals as landmark destinations – resolutions that hold us accountable for our actions and provide us a sense of focus as we navigate the world around us. Yet, these lavish dreamscapes seem to fade as quickly as we create them, for we lack a clear understanding of the true means needed to reach our desired ends. While success is attainable, we seldom reflect on the steps taken to turn our dreams into realities. How &amp; Why is a reminder that even the most seemingly unattainable of goals can be reached, but not without the physical and mental drive to make such outcomes occur. It is through our hands and our minds that we can now heal the sick, write and rewrite the law, construct the environment we see around us, and transform the resources we have at our disposal. </p><p>Although a destination may appear to be the end at first glance, our conference aims to show that it is truly just a mere point on the greater horizon of our lives, at which one journey will come to a close while another continues to push onwards.
