Frequently asked questions
Yes, you can purchase balloon rides that will last 45-60 minutes, for $350.00 weather allowing. You can also purchase a tethered balloon rise for $25.00 where you stay much closer to the ground and connected by a rope. All balloon rides are weather dependent. Purchase tickets on this site.
Parking is limited so carpooling is best if you are arriving in a group. A detailed map of approved parking will be emailed in June. Parking is free, but donations help fund our town scholarship to help local kids attend camp!
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at the balloon festival. If you partner with a registered service animal, please call the HACC office to make arrangements. 802-295-7900. Pets left in vehicles will be rescued by the Hartford Fire Department.
Yes, you can buy admission tickets at the gate. However, buying tickets online should make for shorter lines at the entrance. Just have your QR code ready for fastest service.
Sometimes. IF there are any reservations remaining on the day of the flights, you may purchase them at the Balloon Ticket Booth.
If you cannot attend your scheduled session, your ride can be refunded (minus a $50 service fee) until June 18th. If your ride is canceled due to weather, you will receive a full refund, but your party must be onsite to receive documentation.
Weekend Admission Tickets are NOT refundable. They do entitle you to attend any time during the festival and come and go as you like.
Yes and No. Children who need to be held (babies) are not permitted because safe grown ups have their hands free. Children who are tall enough to ride the rides at an amusement park will be tall enough to see over the top of the balloon basket. Younger children cannot, and will be desperately bored.
Great question. Balloons, and the baskets people ride in, are rated for different weights. To make sure that each balloon/basket is under their own maximum weight, we have to calculate the total weight of all riders.
That's a great question! We don't know beforehand. Weather can come and go so quickly that we often try to delay a launch for up to 30 minutes before cancelling. If you have tickets, you will need to be onsite to receive a refund from weather cancellations.
