R4A ROBOTICS HACKATHON

R4A (Robotics For All) is a robotics team focused on delivering enhanced functionality in/with robots, in a fast and easy manner. The team is manned from Faculty members and Researchers at theElectrical and Computer Engineering School,Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece that have been extensively working on middleware/software robotics. TheRAPP EUand thePANDORAprojects are two of the main assets of the R4A members' portfolio.The main novelty of the R4A approach is the design and implementation of a middleware architecture and the respective tools that allow for rapid prototyping of robot-agnostic applications. The R4A architecture supports the collaboration of robots with any connected device or "thing" (in the IoT concept), as well as with robotic cloud services, this way supporting a wide range of applications, even with low cost robots. The R4A approach has already been used in realistic environments and tested by developers in heterogeneous consumer robotic devices.

<P>- Δεν είμαι robotics expert όμως θέλω να προγραμματίσω ένα robot εύκολα και γρήγορα.<BR> - Θέλω να δοκιμάσω γρήγορα και εύκολα την ιδέα μου για να βεβαιώσω τη λειτουργικότητά της.<BR> - Θέλω να εξασφαλίσω υψηλή ποιότητα παραγόμενου κώδικα.<BR></P>
<H2><BR>Η λύση</H2>
<P>Η ομάδα <A HREF="http://r4a.issel.ee.auth.gr/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Robotics 4 All</A>, υπό την αιγίδα του εργαστηρίου <A HREF="http://issel.ee.auth.gr/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ευφυών Συστημάτων και Τεχνολογίας Λογισμικού</A> του ΤΗΜΜΥ του ΑΠΘ σας προσκαλούν στο mini-hackathon με θέμα «Building your robotic application in a blink of an eye», όπου θα παρουσιαστούν τεχνολογίες και εργαλεία γρήγορης δημιουργίας ρομποτικών εφαρμογών για το <A HREF="https://www.ald.softbankrobotics.com/en/robots/nao" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">ρομπότ ΝΑΟ</A>.</P>
<P><EM><STRONG>Θα δοθούν βεβαιώσεις συμμετοχής!</STRONG></EM></P>
<H2><BR>Πρέπει να είμαι robotics expert, να έχω γνώσεις ρομποτικής ή να ξέρω προγραμματισμό;</H2>
<P>Όχι. Θα πρέπει να έχετε βασικές γνώσεις σε διαδικασίες περιγραφής λογισμικού (αλληλουχία εντολών, forks, joins, preemptions), αλλά τόσο τα παραπάνω, όπως και το πως λειτουργεί το ρομπότ ΝΑΟ θα εξηγηθούν στο hackathon. Για τη δημιουργία απλών εφαρμογών θα πρέπει απλά να προδιαγράψετε το σύστημά τους και με τα εργαλεία του R4A να σχεδιάσετε την εφαρμογή και να παράξετε τον κώδικά της. Στη συνέχεια μπορείτε να κάνετε όποιες/όσες αλλαγές θέλετε και να την δοκιμάσετε σε πραγματικά ρομπότ.</P>
<H2><BR>Τι να φέρω μαζί μου;</H2>
<P>Τις ιδέες σας! Ιδανικά την περιγραφή της εφαρμογής σε ένα txt file, αλλά και μια απλή γραφική αποτύπωση στο χαρτί είναι αρκετή. Υπολογιστές/πόροι θα σας δοθούν.<BR><BR></P>
