Innovate for Vegas Foundation  events are always inclusive and wherever possible accessible (help us make that always true when it isn't!).As a volunteer organization, we work for gratitude and participation, and in the end, the overall elevation of our community. If events are sponsored (food, beverage, venue, other resources) we will make that clear per event, but assume Innovate for Vegas events are powered by you!

The earliest of startups are invited to get some volunteer contribution to your online presence to help your business go and grow!

International Innovation Center

This is an online and in-person event weekend!Are you an early-stage startup with too few entrepreneurs to cross each t and dot each i in need of some volunteer assistance getting your business online, getting an existing website tuned up, working on your logos or color schemes or content?Are you skilled in the ways of online entrepreneurial tools and methods, tuning up websites or maybe working on logos or colors or layouts, maybe editing some content, and you want to volunteer your time and expertise to elevate our communities?NOTE: we hope to enable our Clients who need some Volunteer assistance to advance their cause, we ask that those who already have their website and online presence working, those who have web management budgets, and those who have people already working on their projects, to allow our Volunteers to help those Entrepreneurs who don&#x27;t have those elements in place... YET!Our normally-scheduled Monthly Hackathon Meetup is being re-purposed in November for this special Entrepreneur Marathon Triage event, where Entrepreneurs meet with volunteers to colllaborate getting a brand new or just-starting business on to the internet! Volunteers and Entrepreneur Clients, please consider items such as these starting points (there may be others) to decide what you can accomplish together and discuss during the Triage meetup:<ul><li>Starting a new website, perhaps a modern 1-page presence</li><li>Work on logo or other artwork</li><li>Color schemes and layout of existing site</li><li>Tune up the Open Graph tags and maybe some minor SEO and other standard modern day details</li><li>Fix up any broken links</li><li>Connect your website and email domains (if you know, you know)</li><li>Domain and hosting? Okay, we can start from the very beginning.</li><li>Probably something nobody thought of…</li></ul>Volunteers should consider contributing approximately 2 hours toward each Client project or project element(s). This is left to the discretion and availability of each individual Volunteer, but we would like to balance volunteerism against the day jobs and other responsibilities each Volunteer has through the week. This upper limit also helps to determine a scope of work so that we can end the week with everybody meeting goals and advancing their cause!This gathering is a Triage meetup, so our Clients and Volunteers can meet up (in-person or online if that works), discuss the project, and make plans for collaboration through the week. It should all go something like this:<ol><li>Determine needs and skills</li><li>Appointments to meet during the Entrepreneur Marathon Triage meetup</li><li>Saturday or Sunday, 12 or 13 November, Discuss and Plan the Scope of Work and a rough schedule in-person or online (or both)</li><li>Through the week, collaborate as time and place allow</li><li>Friday, 18 November, a bonus meetup opportunity at the same place (International Innovation Center) if an in-person meetup will help to wrap up open items.</li><li>Saturday, 19 November, we celebrate a week of accomplishment and elevation at Tech Alley in the Las Vegas Arts District!</li></ol>Volunteers: If you are a part of a group and will be volunteering on behalf of that group, please sign up individually so we can determine the volunteer pool size.Entrepreneur Clients: Only one person need sign up, but please indicate how many people plan to attend in-person so that we may plan accordingly.We have a Discord channel, #marathon , that you may visit for general discussion... in fact, you can join our Discord server for any of our online discussions, and stay as long as you like.<a href="https://discord.gg/gh5FAahd9P" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Discord Server Invitation Link</a>There will be email updates up to the actual Entrepreneur Marathon Triage meetup on 12 and 13 November, including the actual appointment for Client and Volunteer(s) to meet and discuss...We look forward to a lot of positive and exciting outcomes for Tech Alley the following weekend!
