SUDS Workshop: Google Cloud Platform

Students for Urban Data Systems (SUDS)is a student group at Carnegie Mellon University that brings together the vast (and growing) array of disciplines that contribute to the conversation of how cities are adapting new methods of “big data” collection and analysis to improve their service delivery, from providing water and police protection to repairing infrastructure.

This workshop will be a hands-on introduction to cloud computing using <A HREF="https://cloud.google.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Google Cloud Platform</A> (GCP). In the workshop we'll discuss what the cloud is and cover some of GCP's tools that can bring your projects to the next level.
The workshop will be led by CMU student Arman Hezarkhani. Arman is pursuing a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, but works part time as a Google Cloud Platform Student Consultant. He has traveled with Google around the country speaking at hackathons, conferences, and faculty summits.
