It’s time to mix your passion for tech and music festivals and join AngelHack and sponsors Amazon Web Services, Intel, and EDC for the most colorful, inclusive, and badass hackathon on the planet. Do you and your friends want to go to EDC Vegas? Well, here’s your chance. Gather your most creative developer friends or co-workers and join us as a team to Hack Till Dawn. Or come on your own and meet other like-minded developers with whom you can join forces.
VIP passes to EDC Las Vegas and EDC Orlando (and much more) are on the line; all you have to do is come up with the most revolutionary new tech that will help musical festivals up their game. So are you in?

What’s the most kick ass technology you’ve always wished for at music festivals? What would you create if the sky was your limit? Here’s your chance! Use AWS technology to create an experience that is desperately needed or would greatly enhance the fan experience at an EDC festival. It can be anything from getting more information on the events and activities at the festival to using a virtual assistant to direct you to the nearest bathroom with the shortest line. Anything you can dream of for a festival, make it.

Shh, we can't tell you that yet! At some point during the hackathon, we’ll announce a surprise AWS API that you can build into your idea to earn additional points from the judges. Each submission will be scored in each round based on the following criteria with a minimum score of 0 and a maximum score of 30 points, with the final score being the average of the judges’ scores:

<LI>Simplicity (5 points): Is the application simple to use and can the team explain it clearly in three sentences or less?</LI>
<LI>Creativity (5 points): How creative was the team in developing an innovative solution for the challenge?</LI>
<LI>Impact (5 points): Did the team create an application that can have a real and valuable impact?</LI>
<LI>Design (5 points): Was the UX/UI intuitive and appealing?</LI>
<LI>Usage of Featured and Surprise Technology (5 points): Was the featured technology used, and how well were the surprise APIs utilized?</LI>
<LI>Presentation (5 points): Was the demo well organized, coherent, and did it communicate how the idea meets the other criteria?</LI>

Fan Voting

<LI>Leading up to, and during EDC Las Vegas, fans will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite idea. AWS and EDC will promote the submissions, encouraging fans to check out the pitch videos and cast their vote for the idea they’d like to see brought to life at EDC Orlando. </LI>

<LI>Teams of up to 5 participants are allowed. All team members must have completed the participation agreement to compete.</LI>
<LI>Participants must be 21 years of age and citizens of the continental United States upon registration.</LI>
<LI>You may not begin your project until the competition officially begins. Please don't come in and build on top of previous projects if you want to win.</LI>
<LI>Winning teams will be subject to a code-review at some point following the event or immediately before winning.</LI>
