We&#x27;re being hosted by our dWeb friends at <a href="https://jolocom.io/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jolocom</a>, who are building a unique and powerful infrastructure for Self Sovereign Identity.You&#x27;re welcome to join the Holochain community as we come together to make funky distributed app experiments on Holochain while it’s in process towards stable beta.Feel free to join the <a href="https://discord.gg/GcBNyPUX4j" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Berlin Hackathon</a> channel on our discord server to ask any questions.DatesFri Oct 28th:	 18:00 — 20:30Sat Oct 29th:	9:30 — 19:00Sun Oct 30th:	9:30 — 15:00Who it’s forWe welcome individuals and teams who are exploring and building the projects and infrastructure of a distributed web3.Our hackathons have a diverse attendance that consist of:- Developers- Entrepreneurs- Project owners- Regenerative folks- Network architects- Pragmatic Activists- Social Entrepreneurs- Artists, Designers, WritersHow it worksEveryone has the opportunity to learn by doing at our events. Whether you come with an idea, project, or team – doesn’t matter.The event will be coordinated in semi-open-space. It will happen in scheduled as well as emergent sessions, (self)organized in accord with Agile principles.ExperienceThe typical hackathon culture has participants staying up all night, drinking energy drinks and eating junk food in a competitive environment. A couple people leave as winners, most people leave as losers and everyone leaves exhausted – that’s not our style.We want to build a more humane internet with greater individual sovereignty and collective intelligence. We do our best to design our events to reflect that intention. Holochain Hackathons are focused on growing and building knowledge, apps, and community in a collaborative, agent-centric context. We’ll organize and schedule sessions as and when needed so that we spend more time learning by doing and less time in back to back classes. We provide healthy food, encourage breaks, and have reasonable start and end times so that participants leave the event feeling good. We provide projects to jump in on and a lean process for participants to form projects and teams around things they’re passionate about.Cost80 Euros. This is a non-profit, community run event. Registration fees go towards covering the cost of the venue, food, and materials.
