We are excited to be having our first <A HREF="https://ccsunlight.org/what-is-a-county-committee" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">County Committee Sunlight Project</A> Hackathon/Worksession at ThoughtWorks on Sunday, February 25th! This event will be as much about content as it will about any coding so you do not need to be a developer to participate. There are very important things that need to be done from data entry to design that do not involve any code so all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
This will be more of a "workathon" than a hackathon in that there won't be a winner...except DEMOCRACY! We'll be starting off with a intro presentation and then breaking different workgroups based on a few different areas described below.  
Content & Design How to run toolkit, informational pages, logos, videos, infographics, as well as social media.
Data We have acquired data for the county committee membership for all five boroughs for both parties and need to enter it into our database. Some of this data can be imported but some of it needs to be entered manually. This is hugely important so even if you can just type, you will be able to make an impact.
Coding If actual hacking is your thing, we'll be opening up the repo so you can contribute.
Ideas & Outreach We need your input, ideas and feedback to make this system work for the citizenry the way it was intended. We want to tailor this system to YOUR needs as citizens.

<LI>This is a non-partison project and people of all political leanings are welcome and encouraged to participate. </LI>
<LI>Even if you don't think you have any special skills related to this hackathon, we will need people to enter data and this is perhaps one of the most important things we need to do. </LI>
