<h3>**The $10 ticket fee will be refunded IF you attend the event**</h3><h3>*﻿*The event is on the 2nd floor of the Hilton Bogota Corferias**</h3><h3>Event Description</h3>Aleo proudly presents the 2nd edition of the Hitchhiker&#x27;s Guide to ZK 🧗‍♂️The event will provide an introductory lesson on zero-knowledge technology and how it can be applied to real-world use cases. This will be followed by a high-level overview of Aleo&#x27;s architecture and a deep dive into how ZK will form the building blocks for the next wave of decentralized applications. There will also be a hands-on workshop designed to show developers how to build decentralized private applications on the Aleo Network using our open-source Leo programming language.We have various speakers from the Aleo network ranging from professors, cryptographers, founding engineers and other ecosystem partners building on the platform.We invite any and all DevCon attendees to join us and learn how to contribute to the growing Aleo ecosystem. Prof. of CS @ UMD) Ian Miers is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Maryland. His research focuses on solving real world security issues using cryptography ranging from secure messaging, to moderation and anti-abuse protocols, to blockchains. He is one of the founding scientists of Aleo, Bolt Labs, and Zcash, startups commercializing his work on privacy preserving payments and smart contracts. His work has been featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, Wired, and The Economist. It has also been denounced in at least two op-eds.&quot;2. Efficient Private Delegation of zkSNARK ProversPresented By: <a href="https://twitter.com/zkproofs" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Pratyush Mishra</a> (Cryptographer @ Aleo)Pratyush Mishra is a cryptographer at Aleo, and will be joining the UPenn CIS department as an Assistant Professor in 2022. He recently completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. His research is focused on cryptography and security, with a focus on the theory and practice of succinct cryptographic proof systems, and on efficient systems for secure machine learning. He is a co-author of the arkworks zkSNARK libraries, which are used by several academic and industrial projects.Part IV - Soirée / Networking (1 hour) - 5:00 PM to 6:00 PMStay with us after the event to meet the speakers and network with other audience members.
