Global Game Jam at the University of Miami

NERDLab is a student-faculty cooperative driven by research, development, and an enthusiasm for social impact. Based out of the Interactive Media program at the University of Miami School of Communication, we function as an incubator for initiatives that collaborate locally, nationally, and in the global space. NERDLab integrates classic and novel techniques to produce projects that inspire and educate through innovation and fun.

<P>Join us for this 48 hour game-making marathon at the University of MIami! All skill levels are welcome. <SPAN>Think of it as a hackathon focused on game development (any game! board games too!). It is the growth of an idea that in today’s heavily connected world, we could come together, be creative, share experiences and express ourselves in a multitude of ways using video games. The weekend stirs a global creative buzz in games, while at the same time exploring the process of development, be it programming, iterative design, narrative exploration or artistic expression. </SPAN></P>
