Women on the Block: An evening with influential women in Blockchain

This month's edition of Blockchain Beginners will feature a lineup comprised of some of the most influential women in this space - all women, all evening! 
50% of all ticket proceeds will be donated to Project Girl Code*, a non-profit organisation teaching digital literacy skills and providing IT training to girls and young women who are vulnerable to trafficking, slavery or forced marriage.
Once again <A HREF="http://blockchainbeg.in/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Blockchain Beginners </A>are being hosted by SapientRazorfish in their stunning London office with support from <A HREF="http://www.etoro.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">eToro</A> and <A HREF="http://www.zebrapeople.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zebra People</A>. We will have a panel of 3 speakers followed by a Q&A session and then networking before moving on to the pub. Pizzas and refreshments (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided.
Our MC for the evening will be <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/maria-mckavanagh-1741751a/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Maria McKavanagh</A>, whom some of you may know from our last meetup. Maria is the COO of Verv, the home energy assistant utilising AI and Blockchain technology to share energy among communities in real time.
Our first speaker to be confirmed is <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/agagajownik/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Aga Gajownik</A>, a business strategist specialising in tech for good. She recently started working with Wrisx, a startup that uses blockchain to minimise risk around investing in emerging markets (<A HREF="https://wrisx.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://wrisx.com/</A>). In the past, Aga helped to launch <A HREF="http://www.sotec.io/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.sotec.io</A> who won 2 hackathons around using tech for good. 
Our second speaker to be confirmed is <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/jess-houlgrave-b09b5920/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jess Houlgrave</A>, who recently completed a Masters’ dissertation assessing the use of technology in the art ecosystem. She explored how the blockchain can be leveraged within the art world to reduce inefficiencies and revolutionise entrenched and antiquated existing market practices. She a senior consultant at <A HREF="https://www.chainstarter.co.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Chainstarter</A>, an ethical blockchain fundraising platform. Jess is also a Trustee for a Lewisham Education Arts Network and a member of the ExCom-Y committee at Mövenpick Hotels &amp; Resorts. Previously, Jess spent six years in finance first as an investment banking analyst and later as a portfolio manager for a pension fund.
Our third and final speaker to be confirmed is <A HREF="https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarvieastell/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sarvi Eastell</A>, who is a Health-Tech founder (<A HREF="http://www.holdingyourhand.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.holdingyourhand.com</A>) and startup advisor. Sarvi is currently researching Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) for the healthcare space, as well as the environmental impact of mining for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
