AnnieCannons Curriculum Hackathon

AnnieCannons is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to training survivors of human trafficking in coding and other in-demand technology skills. We source client development projects to help students earn without fear of extant barriers, so we can all work toward a world where no one with the insight or potential to innovate is denied the opportunity on the basis of her race, gender, or previous condition of servitude.We leverage tech industry incomes to fight human trafficking by (1) training survivors of human trafficking in tech and business skills ranging from personal finance and digital literacy to software testing to full-stack development, (2) empowering survivors by securing and managing tech industry freelance income streams for their benefit, and (3) building software products survivors ideate to fight human exploitation and gender-based violence.Learn more atanniecannons.comor reach out toinfo@anniecannons.com.

<P>Join AnnieCannons as we welcome developers, designers, PMs, and security experts for a day of ‘spring cleaning’ our curriculum. Volunteers like you can work on improving current modules, writing exercises, and developing or curating entirely new modules for our students. We will offer training at the beginning of the day in our trauma-informed teaching methodology as well as a brief outline of our model and how we support survivors of human trafficking. We will also introduce some of the current student projects that our talented teams are working on.</P>
