<H2>Take a dive into Django & Python with Girls in Tech!</H2>
Django is a free and open source web application framework written in Python. A web framework is a set of components that helps you develop websites faster and easier. In this workshop, we will create a simple blog using Python and Django. You will learn the basics of Python, how to navigate the command line, and learn enough Django to deploy your own blog with it.
We will be using the <A HREF="https://tutorial.djangogirls.org/en/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">DjangoGirls tutorial</A> as our guide. No prior experience with Python, Django, or the command line is expected. 
Required Materials:

About the Instructors:
Linda is a UI Engineer at We Also Walk Dogs, Inc. (ActionKit.com), where she works on tools used by progressive organizations using Python and Django. She enjoys sharing knowledge, and hosts a Women Who Code meetup in Berkeley every other week as well as countless hangouts on CodeBuddies.org, an open-sourced study groups platform and Slack community she started in 2014. She graduated from Duke University with a double major in Public Policy and Economics, loves recording violin arrangements and participating in hackathons, and is probably a Hufflepuff. 
Nico is a software engineer at Coffee Meets Bagel. He was born in Cyprus and studied Computer Science at Imperial College London in UK. He uses Python and Django everyday at CMB to develop features, fix bugs, and contribute towards having a scalable platform. He is working at a dating app because he really enjoys solving complex problems and making people's lives easier and better.
Daniel is a Software Engineer at Coffee meets Bagel, he is a passionate Python developer and has attended multiple Python events such as EuroPython, Pycon Italy (where Daniel is from) and Django Under the Hood. Daniel is also one of the organizers of SF Python, the San Francisco Python meetup featuring more than 8000 members. Daniel is also an Open Source contributor, he contributed to Django's Meta API during Google's Summer of Code program in 2014.
