1st Hong Kong Bot Hackathon

Recime.iois a cloud-based bot development platform, it supplies  backend and hosting for developers Bot As A Service (BoTaaS). Recime handles all the plumbing a bot developer runs into andprovides with its javascript framework all the required infrastructure necessary to build a rich bot with built-in natural language processing. Recime is an early stage startup from Silicon Valley.

About the Hackathon:
#Botathon, A 2 day informal and cozy hackathon on building Bots for Facebook Messenger / Slack / WeChat / Pipedrive and more!
Why? Bots are the future of communications incorporating NPL and chat UI's. Come to the hackathon and kick the tires of the next big thing.

Bot Bootcamp 101 Saturday morning 10:30am - 11:30am:
Never build a bot before? We got you covered. The kickoff boot camp 101 will teach you the basics of bot development with natural language support (NLP) and publish your bots to various platforms with the same code-base.
Already build a bot before? If you already have build a bot before or read/tried the documentation of Recime for instance, you can already start building right away. 
Hackathon Starts 12pm Saturday:

We will invite some product development people that are available to brainstorm with you if you are out of ideas. We will also showcase the best bots on our platform.
Hackathon Resumes Sunday Morning:
Bootcamp Sunday morning 10:30am - 11:30am:
Learn more in depth about NLP based bots. The 2nd boot camp will teach you more in depth about natural language processing (NLP).
Then at Sunday 4pm, Show and Tell of al Bots with detailed feedbackfrom a panel of experts
This botathon is for two-way learning purposes only, so no extensive presentations, investor pitches, big prizes or 1-2-3 rankings. Just showing off what you learned and built and an opportunity to get feed back from your peers.

FAQs
Why do I have to pay?
Mostly for show up commitment purposes, but we will supply you with 2 days of venue, lunch, drinks and a saturday afternoon pizza.
 
What can I bring into the event?
Your laptop (Mac/Windows) and a bot idea, if you don't have a bot idea, no worries, we will have a list to get you going. There will also be product managers walking around to talk use cases.

No, we have your name for check-in. Save the paper for something more important Hong Kong bureaucracy!
 
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
No worries, but only one admision per name.
