iDEYAHACK: Peace Edition

We are the first business incubator in Mindanao that aims to create a progressive entrepreneurial ecosystem through variouscommunity building activities and technology-based business support services to enable budding entrepreneurs in the region to fulfill their startup dreams.Our objective is to provide a nurturing environment for technology-based and social enterprises in the early stages of their development. Specifically, it aims to develop entrepreneurial culture and related skills and provide a dynamic and collaborative environment.We provide office space , market runway, trainings and mentorship, linkages to investors, access to funding and prototyping and laboratory facilitation.Our goal is to inform the community about different startup opportunities; involve everyone towards the success of the center through collaboration, partnerships and joint efforts; and invite the community to work on their ideas and bring it to reality.

iDEYA: CIT@MSUIIT

OVERVIEW
The iDEYA: CIT@MSU-IIT in partnership with the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM) of MSU-IIT will be organizing the first ever Peace Hackathon in Mindanao this coming December 3 and 4, 2016 Saturday and Sunday.
iDEYAHACK is another initiative of iDEYA: CIT@MSU-IIT, the first ever Technology Business Incubator in Mindanao, that aims to raise awareness and build interest on the Startup Scene and to invite the community to create innovative digital solutions from the topic given. This year’s iDEYAHACK will be focused on Peace and Order in the country and challenge different developers, hackers, peace practitioners and visionaries to create fresh, innovative, and feasible digital solutions in 36 hours that will mitigate violence and build peace throughout the country.

REGISTRATION: The competition is free for all developers, programmers, hackers, IT Professionals and Students, Visionaries and Peace advocates.  The organizers will only open 100 slots for this event. Either you join as a team, or you will join a team during the event.

PROGRAM: The event will be a 36 hours’ event starting morning of December 3, Saturday until the afternoon of December 4, Sunday. Everyone starts coding at the first day. No one is allowed to come in and build on top of previous projects. Each team have full ownership of everything they built and created during the competition. On the afternoon of the 2nd day, each team must pitch and demonstrate their solution in 5 minutes in front of the panel of judges. Decks and PowerPoints are allowed but not required. 3 groups will be declared as winners and will receive x amount cash prize and will receive incubation support from iDEYA: CIT@MSU-IIT. Winning groups will be subject to a code-review after the announcement to ensure the originality and integrity of the teams.
