Central Coast Youth Hackathon (2016)

Central Coast New Tech provides students with unique opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills to compete and succeed in the 21st century global economy.Our goal is to effectively prepare students for the 21st century by focusing on engagement, relevancy, and experience within standards based curriculum. To accomplish this, we use a project-based learning method which includes in-class simulations and real world challenges, college classes, community service and internships within the community.

CCNTH

Youth have few opportunities to be exposed to hands-on coding and hackathons are low-risk ways to be exposed to programming in a supported way.  Our hackathon is aimed at middle and high school students (11-18) who will work in mentor-supported teams to build projects in a number of different areas: Web pages, Mobile Apps, Digital Art, and Games.  Students will work together for a day of creative problem solving and conceptual thinking through tinkering, debugging, creating, collaborating, and perseverance.  Come join us at the Central Coast New Tech High School campus for a full day of fun!
 Suggested donation ~ $5 at the door ~ includes lunch, snacks, and giveaways!
