Blockchain and Identity Hackathon

Identit.eeis a program to accelerate innovation arounde-Residency, and to build an ecosystem of people and organisations interested in exploring the potential and opportunity created by this new innovation in civic tech. Identit.ee has been running a worldwide series of events that brought together experts and innovators to hack ideas, test concepts, and help shape how e-Residency program develops through it’s Beta stage to realize its full potential.The worldwide series brought together over 700 thought leaders at events in London, Berlin, New York, Silicon Valley, Tokyo, Singapore, and culminates in a 3 day conference, the Future of Identity, in Tallinn, Estonia.

The hackathon is run by blockchain experts from Berlin and New York.  The hackathon is focused on creative mashups of Estonian e-identity with new blockchain &amp; decentralization tech, for target applications in identity, supply chain, IoT, financial, energy, and creative industries.  It will start on Sept 2nd evening. Hackers are get a free ticket to the exclusive networking drinks after the conference, followed by a 1.5 hour idea brainstorming session. On Sep 3rd there is a full day (9am-8pm) of hacking and building, with pitches in the evening. Conference speakers and attendees will be at the launch event for networking with hackers.  Questions hackathon participants could pursue include:

<LI>How can Estonian e-identity tools &amp; vision help solve specific problems in blockchain &amp; dec target applications?</LI>
<LI>What new tools can help to spread the example of Estonian e-identity to the rest of the world, and to help improve the Estonian e-identity program?</LI>
<LI>How can decentralization, immutability, “living” assets, smart contracts help?</LI>
