VR Weekend - Boot Camp - Featuring Epson Moverio BT-300 (Prototype)

We're a volunteer based VR Developer Group dedicated to educating and engaging the community. We specifically focus on the Unity® (free) platform, and best practices for Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift, and other VR hardware. We host topics on developing, publishing, marketing and monetizing Unity VR Apps.If you've never done anything - then do this, and get started making VR today! We're nurturing the coolest, friendliest community on earth, right here in New York.We are the first and only VR specific Unity meetup and the world's only Unity specific VR meetup!

We’ll teach you how to build fully functional VR experiences using Unity. You’ll learn how to build worlds, develop truly cross-platform VR experiences, and get introduced to the New York VR community.  
Both days include tons of semi-private tutoring. Our team of Certified Unity Developers led by Lex Dreitser will work with you individually to move your VR/AR/MR/360 vision forward! 
 
With a grounding in VR fundamentals, we'll explore the unique features of modern VR equipment and how to develop for each. We'll also cover and develop Augmented Reality and 360 Filmwith Unity®. 
This bootcamp is designed for beginners and intermediate Unity Devs. No prior experience is required for the bootcamp. 
Advanced developers will benefit from mentorship, advanced training and potential to win prizes. This weekend is going to be a ton of fun and all participants will be able to use Epson Moverio - the smallest, lightest VR/AR hardware on earth.All participants will learn how to develop for this amazing device! 
Coupon codes will be provided to purchase the BT-200 and pre-order the BT-300! 
Saturday 10a-6p will be focused VR fundamentals and creating scenes in Unity that can be experienced in VR. We will cover 360 video. Students will create a VR app similar to The Blu - highlighted at 2:00 in this video:  
 
Sunday 10a-6p we'll focus on control in VR. Students will create a few VR apps with Gaze Control:  Architectural Explorer  3D Flythrough  Object Throwing/Shooter
This event will be the grand opening of an amazing new VR work space. The event will include food, refreshments training and a facility that has everything you need to make great VR. Please bring a laptop with Unity (free) installed.
