CHALLENGE
Your task for this challenge will require you to develop an app that helps to safeguard the American people, our homeland, and our values from all threats. The following are some of the specific interests of the Department of Homeland Security:
* Ensure Resilience to Disasters
* Prevent Terrorism and Enhance Security
* Safeguard and Secure Cyberspace
* Secure and Manage Our Borders

Whatever technology you choose as long as the app works on iPhone or Android devices.

FIRST PLACE - $1000 CASH
SECOND PLACE - $750 CASH

PRE-EVENT PREP
Feel free to familiarize yourself with any of the tools you want to use on the day of the hackathon. Make sure to bring any hardware you will need during the event.

REGISTRATION 
MAXIMUM 6 TEAMS TOTAL & 5 PEOPLE MAX PER TEAM
The following fields are required on the registration page: First name, last name, and email address.
Specific details on the event agenda, parking, metro, logistics, etc. will be provided after you register.
 
Dinner will be provided on Friday night. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages throughout the day on Saturday.
