FirstBuild Mega Hackathon - The Future of Cooking

GEA’s FirstBuild is a global co-creation community that harnesses the brainpower of the maker movement to change the way major home appliances are conceived, designed and manufactured. A physical state-of-the-art microfactory on the University of Louisville campus and online forum, FirstBuild speeds products from mind to market and enables customization through small batch production, without the costs and risks of traditional mass manufacturing.

The Future of Cooking is a 2-day Hackathon where you can make Sci-Fi become reality! Makers, Techies, Engineers, and Artists/Designers gather together to dream, hack and build the most innovative appliances around. Gather your team, or form a new team to see what you can create.
During the Hackathon, you will have access to all of the FirstBuild tools, including:

<LI>Sanding/Grinding/Sandblast</LI>

<LI>Circuit Board Mill</LI>

Sponsors will be onsite with their tools and latest innovations for you to use in your creations. Cash and hardware will be awarded! With all these tools and our awesome Sponsors, what could you and your team create in about 24 hours?
Note: Due to the tools and equipment available at the facility.  This event is limited to adults of age 18 and over.
