DMC Hackathon: Digital Factory Challenge

Digital Manufacturing and Design Innovation Institute(DMDII)is where innovative manufacturers forge their futures. In partnership with UI Labs and the Department of Defense, DMDII provides factories with the digital tools and expertise they need to begin building every part better than the last. As a result, our more than 300 partners increase their productivity and win more business.

<DIV><SPAN STYLE="font-size: medium; font-family: 'times new roman', times;">The Digital Manufacturing Commons (DMC) Team plans on hosting a DMC User Group meeting from <STRONG>9:00am - 5:30pm on Friday, July 15<SUP>th</SUP></STRONG> at the UI LABS Innovation Center in Chicago, IL, which will be followed that evening and weekend by a DMC hackathon.</SPAN></DIV>
<DIV><SPAN STYLE="font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: medium;"> </SPAN></DIV>
<DIV><SPAN STYLE="font-size: medium; font-family: 'times new roman', times;">The User Group meeting will be an in-depth round of updates on DMC, some hands-on getting started sessions, and a no-holds-barred solicitation of community input and feedback.</SPAN></DIV>
<DIV><SPAN STYLE="font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: medium;"> </SPAN></DIV>
<DIV><SPAN STYLE="font-size: medium; font-family: 'times new roman', times;">The Hackathon will begin following the DMC User Group Meeting and is themed around Hacking the Digital Factory. A challenge statement will be provided and teams will be formed to hack out a DMC app that solves the problem. Subject matter experts will be on-hand to help the teams, and $5,000 or more in prizes will be awarded! These sessions are slated <STRONG>to start at 6:00pm on Friday, July 15th and end at 6:00pm on Sunday, July 17th.</STRONG></SPAN></DIV>
