Have you ever wanted to try ceramics? Now is your chance :)
In this workshop, you will learn basic handbuilding techniques and make your own mug!
Each workshop is 2 hours and limited to 5 people, so each student will have plenty of time to receive help from the instructor. You will be provided with all of the materials needed to make your own mug! During the workshop, you will sculpt, smooth, and glaze your work in one session. After the workshop is over, your mug will be fired in a ceramic oven at 1150°C and your work will be ready to pick-up within two to three weeks :)
Whether you are a beginner wanting to see if you’d like pottery or wanting to get back into ceramics, this is a perfect workshop for you!
All classes will be taught in English.
This is NOT a pottery wheel workshop
IMPORTANT:
- Attendees will work with up to a maximum 700 g of ceramic clay
- Sometimes accidents can happen such as the piece cracking/exploding in the ceramic kiln. While we work as carefully as possible to lower the chances of this happening, in very rare cases pieces will break. Pieces that crack or explode in the kiln are not viable for a refunded ticket.
This workshop is suitable for everyone between the ages of 16-110. Children between the ages of 8-15 should come with an adult.
