The Naval Postgraduate School set a world record last year for flying the largest swarm of drones ever controlled by a common code base.  Now you get to hack its control system.

This event is open to anyone over the age of 21. 
For the Hackathon: UX designers, Full Stack Developers (all levels), UAV hobbyists, ROS experience a plus, Data Scientists.  
For the Future of Autonomy Workshop: Any technical or non-technical participants who are looking to help develop the Autonomy roadmap for the Navy. 
Hackathon Challenges:
A)  Wireless Authentication
B)  Robot Operating System (ROS) Security
C)  Algorithms for Cooperative Search
Future of Autonomy Workshop Theme:  Help design the future within the following domains: system interfaces across domains and architectures, use of artificial intelligence and human interfacing with smart agents, and the future use of big data analytics in unmanned systems.  *Future of Autonomy Workshop not eligible for prizes.
Agenda: 
Friday, June 24th:
3:00 - 6:00pm - Table top tactics game: optional introduction for all to the Navy anti-piracy mission and a look at how autonomous systems will define the future.
6:00 - 8:00pm - Kickoff Social: Keynote Speaker.  Mix and mingle.  Explore demos.
Saturday, June 25th:
8:00am - 6:00pm:  Hackathon
10:00am - 3:00pm:  Future of Autonomy Workshop
Sunday, June 26th:
8:00am - 5:30pm:  Hackathon
Prizes:  YES!
Food/Beverage:  Lunch, Coffee and Water provided (dietary restrictions cannot be accomodated.
Parking:  Public transit highly encouraged.
