Tackling Homelessness: Community Members & Innovators Panel

ShelterTech works to overcome the digital divide for low-income and no-income individuals by distributing free WiFi in shelters and creating AskDarcel. We count on a multidisciplinary team of professionals who share their expertise and networks to help fight homelessness.ShelterTech is a non-profit organization. Income from events and fundraising are invested into improving and maintaining the technology and in employing members of the homeless community to support our efforts.

After successfully exiting homelessness and starting a catering company, Darcel founded Sheltertech to provide the underserved with free Wifi in shelters and SROs in San Francisco, and is currently working on a suite of apps to serve the homeless community.</DIV>
