<DIV>SOCIHACKS has teamed up with the Small Business Institute of California State University Channel Islands to provide a FREE event <A TARGET="_blank" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">this Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 9am - 3PM</A> to encourage more elementary school age girls (as young as 8 and old as 13) to pursue fields in STEM/STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). In honor of earth month, we have planned a day long event to create websites and awareness videos focusing on the environment. Some students with work hand in hand with community models to learn the basics of web development while others will work with local videographers from the Brooks Institute to learn to operate video equipment behind and in front of the screen. No prior technology experience is required! </DIV>
<DIV><BR></DIV>
<DIV>The event is free of charge and breakfast and lunch will be provided. The only cost parents will incur is getting their students to Malibu Hall located on California State University Channel Island's campus.</DIV>
