About this event
Since its inaugural march in 1970, one year after the Stonewall Uprising, the NYC Pride March has evolved from a civil rights demonstration into a powerful symbol of LGBTQ+ resilience, activism, and unity. The march has grown to raise awareness about the fight against AIDS, while honoring those we’ve lost to illness, violence, and neglect.
As we approach 2025, we continue to march for justice, equality, and the fight for diversity, equity, and inclusion in a world that still needs our voices. Join us in defending the rights of every individual, standing up against hate, and pushing for progress. Our fight for liberation and acceptance is far from over—let’s keep marching forward, together.

To ensure the march moves smoothly and efficiently, we’ve set a 100-participant limit per contingent. This helps maintain a steady pace, avoids crowding, and ensures a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
You will have opportunities to update some information, such as the number of marchers, your group description, and group activity details at Group Leader training or VIA email at March-Help@nycpride.org.
The narrowest street is about 15 feet across. All contingents have a height limit of 14 feet to avoid street lights. Anything over 39 feet in length must be registered as a float. The formation area will be crowded, so please keep banners, signs, instruments, and props organized.
Your support helps bring the Pride March to life each year and ensures free, safe community spaces for all. Thanks to your contributions, we've been able to support production expenses in addition to funding our annual grant program!
March order is determined by NYC Pride after registration closes, balancing factors like accessibility needs, amplified sound, and various logistical details. Our goal is to create a memorable experience for participants and spectators alike. Check back for more details after registration closes!
