Frequently asked questions

For my staff application, where do I enroll for (and then complete) the Safe Church training?

Link (STAFF only): https://ministrycentral.com/course-category/safe-church. You will then follow the steps to "purchase" the training (it is $0). At this point, you will either create a Ministry Central account or select "click here to log in" so that you can complete your enrollment.

Once I've completed my Safe Church training, where do I send the certificate of completion?

To ensure your STAFF application is marked as complete, email your certificate of completion to hello@georgiayouth.org. In the subject line of the email, please put the following: [Your First & Last Name], Safe Church Certificate, [Date You Completed It]. This will help us with tracking submissions!

Do I have to complete the ENTIRE Safe Church course for my staff application?

No, you do not. Once you have enrolled in the Safe Church course, you only need to complete the training titled, "Child Safety: Prevention & Protection Against Abuse of Minors." This will include an hour long video and a quiz.

Do I need to bring my pastoral consent form to the registration table?

Yes, please bring your printed AND signed pastoral consent form with you when you arrive at Hyphen Retreat/Teen Camp/Senior Camp!
