About this event

The Resilient Mind: The Intersection of Neurotechnology and Wellness

Welcome to the third annual California Neurotechnology Conference, a full-day event held at UC San Diego and jointly hosted by UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, and USC! The event will bring together undergraduate student neurotechnology clubs, graduate students, academic researchers, and industry professionals. Our mission is to cultivate a dynamic community of aspiring neurotechnology researchers, future industry leaders, renowned academic scholars, and innovative industry experts, all dedicated to advancing neurotechnology and driving impactful conversations about the future of the field.

*Please note that student (undergraduate and graduate) tickets will be verified using the student’s institutional email address. Tickets that cannot be verified will be refunded and returned. If you are NOT a student, please purchase a “professional” ticket.

What to Expect:

  • Distinguished Keynote Speakers: Benefit from presentations by Dr. Philip Sabes (Co-Founder, Integral, Starfish Neuroscience, Neuralink, Professor Emeritus @ UCSF) and Spero Koulouras (Founder & Chairman, Autonomous Living Technologies) about their current research and industry projects on the latest developments in neurotechnology.

  • Interactive Q&A Sessions: Engage in facilitated, open Q & A discussion with academic and industry panels that bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical applications, offering participants a comprehensive, insider view of current research and industry challenges in neurotechnology.

  • Industry Workshop: Sign up for an interactive industry workshop that offers the opportunity to learn about entering the neurotechnology industry through engaging discussions.

  • Student BCI Competition: Join a dedicated Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) competition where students clubs and research teams showcase and pitch their innovative projects to an esteemed panel of judges, including academic and industry neurotechnology leaders.

  • Research Poster Sessions: Participate in and explore student-led research projects during the poster session to learn more about undergraduate neurotechnology research and emerging innovative solutions in the field. If you are interested in presenting a poster, please fill out this Google Form by FRIDAY, APRIL 11, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Even if your project is still in its early stages, presenting a poster is a valuable opportunity to practice science communication and network with others who are interested in your ideas. All presenters listed in the form must have registered for the conference to participate.

Join us for an enriching academic experience emphasizing research excellence, collaborative inquiry, and the innovative spirit driving the future of neurotechnology!

Our theme this year is "The Resilient Mind: The Intersection of Neurotechnology and Wellness." We're especially focused on helping students understand the interactions between academia and industry-what distinguishes these paths, how they overlap, and how skills and ideas translate between them.

Whether you are seeking to present your work, network with peers and experts, or deepen your knowledge of the field, the 2025 California Neurotechnology Conference is the ideal forum to ignite collaboration and shape the evolving landscape of neurotechnology research.
