Where is FARRM located?

We are located just east of Wetaskiwin. The exact address/directions will be sent 2-3 days prior, along with a waiver. Please check your Spam or Junk folder in your email account, as sometimes the email is filtered there. NOTE: Please make sure all attendees in your group sign the waiver.

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

When you arrive at FARRM, you will be directed where to park. Please DO NOT park on the gravel road. As parking can be limited, please consider car-pooling if possible.

Question 3

Can I bring food for the animals?

Accepted Answer

We are ALWAYS in need of wet cat food and cat litter (lightweight clumping). You're welcome to bring produce for the other residents, but please note that you MAY NOT feed it to any residents without permission, and food IS NOT permitted in the enclosures.

Can I bring donations for the yard sale?

Absolutely! Please check with any FARRM volunteer about the location where you can leave yard sale donations. If you have large/heavy items, please leave them in your vehicle if you require assistance.

Question 5

What should I wear?

Ensure you wear comfortable clothing that you can move and bend in, as well as farm-appropriate footwear (e.g. closed-toe sturdy shoes/boots/hiking shoes, or rubber boots). We also suggest dressing in layers given how fickle the Alberta summer weather can be!

I don’t know how to do yoga – is this class right for me?

Absolutely! This class is designed as a beginner class, where you are welcome to go at your own pace.

Question 7

Can I bring children?

The event is 18+, although youths 16+ can attend if they’re accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Question 8

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

You will need to bring a yoga mat (or towel), and a bottle of water. SPF is also advised, as there will be no shade.

Question 9

Do you have extra yoga mats?

Accepted Answer

FARRM does not have extra yoga mats. You may want to consider using a towel, as the class will be held in a field and yoga mats/towels may get dirty.

Are there washrooms?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Please ask and we will direct you to the location.

Question 11

I bought tickets for another event – can they be transferred to this event?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, transferring tickets is not possible due to planning needs. We schedule events months in advance, and have to cancel if the minimum capacity is not met.

Question 12

Under what circumstances may the event be cancelled?

Accepted Answer

Event cancellations may occur due to either low ticket sales (a minimum of 10 are needed) or weather not conducive to hosting an outdoor event (e.g. severe weather or poor air quality due to smoke). In either instance, we will send a cancellation email the night before the event at 8pm.
