Where can I purchase tickets?

Tickets  are available for purchase at Eventbrite.
Purchasing from any other ticketing provider will be subject to risks, such as fraud, and may not guarantee entry on race day. 
If tickets have been purchased via third-party retailers and resellers, NYRR cannot provide support or customer service.

How much are Grandstand Seating tickets?

Accepted Answer

$50 (+$4.25 fee) for NYRR members. Limited supply. Please email membership@nyrr.org for more information. | $55 (+$4.53 fee) for non-members. | Become an NYRR member at nyrr.org/membership

Can I get a refund in case I’m unable to attend?

Question 4

How do I get to the East Side Grandstand and West Side Grandstand Seating?

Enter at West 62nd Street and Broadway, exchange your tickets for a wristband, go through security check, and then follow the signs. TCS New York City Marathon volunteers will guide you along the way.

Question 5

Is East Side Grandstand Seating reserved or open?

Accepted Answer

All seating is open for ticket holders. If you leave your seat and return, you may have to move to a different seat.

Question 6

Where are the restrooms?

Accepted Answer

There are portable toilets for ticket holders by the grandstands.

Question 7

Once I have my ticket, what do I do?

Accepted Answer

1) Print your ticket with the QR code on the same page 
OR 
2) Add your ticket to your Mobile Wallet 
OR 
3) Take a screenshot of your ticket with the QR code clearly visible 
 
Please keep in mind that cellular service can be inconsistent within the footprint and surrounding area.

Where do I go on Race Day with my Ticket?

Head to the Ticketed Event Entrance at Broadway & W 62nd St. A  TCS New York City Marathon staff member will scan your ticket & give you a wristband. Security will perform a screening & bag check allowing you to enter the footprint. 
Please arrive early & give yourself time to get to the destination

Are any items prohibited in the East Side or West Side Grandstands?

Can I give my ticket and wristband to someone else?

Accepted Answer

NYRR will not refuse entry for any valid tickets. However, we can only provide on-site customer service to the original purchaser of the ticket. If you are not the original purchaser, please bring a photocopy of the ID of the original purchaser.

Is parking available near the entrance?

Accepted Answer

We strongly advise that you take public transportation due to road closures on race day, making nearby parking garages inaccessible. Visit mta.info for current information from the MTA.

What time does the event start and end?

Accepted Answer

The Ticketed Event Entrance will open at 9:00 a.m. and close at: 5:30 p.m

Question 13

Am I allowed to exit and re-enter the event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, re-entry is allowed with a valid wristband. You may enter via the Wristbands Only line for quicker re-entry. Entrance at West 62nd Street and Broadway. 
Damaged, tampered, or modified wristbands will be considered invalid and subject to confiscation at the discretion of NYRR Ticketing Staff.

Does my baby need a ticket to enter?

Children under the age of 2  do not need a ticket to enter. No strollers are allowed inside the footprint at the TCS New York City Marathon.

Do I need to have an ID or passport with me for entry?

Accepted Answer

No, just a ticket is required for entry to the event, except in these circumstances: 
If you are planning to bring prescription medication, you must have it in properly labeled containers w/ the name matching your ID.  
Insulin & medical-related devices items may be subject to screening by an EMT.

Do children need a parent/guardian to accompany them at the event?

Children under 16 years old should be accompanied by an adult at all times.

How can I access Mastercard Headsets?

Accepted Answer

They are available for Mastercard holders in the Grandstands: pick up at any finish area viewing entrance, while supplies last, and in the Blue Line Lounge for those with access.

Can I enter the Blue Line Lounge or the Finish Line Terrace?

Accepted Answer

Those with Blue Line Lounge and Finish Line Terrace wristbands have access to the Blue Line Lounge. Those with Finish Line Terrace wristbands have access to the Finish Line Terrace.

Can I go into the West Side Grandstands?

Accepted Answer

Those with Finish Line Terrace, Blue Line Lounge, and West Side Grandstands wristbands have access to the West Side Grandstands.  Please note: West Side Grandstands tickets are reserved for NYRR Partners and not available for sale to the general public

Can I buy tickets for the viewing Grandstands?

Yes. East Side Grandstand tickets are available for purchase online via Eventbrite. Please note: West Side Grandstands tickets are reserved for NYRR Partners and not available for sale to the general public

Can I buy tickets for the Blue Line Lounge and/or Finish Line Terrace?

No. These tickets are not available for public sale.
